Portfolio
The following list of clients and projects reflects the wide range of abilities and interests Web Collective owners bring to each project.
We work with nonprofits, businesses and government agencies. What our clients have in common is a commitment to using the Internet to accelerate their impact and reach. We walk with our clients at their pace through our process to define and accomplish their project goals.
YES! Magazine
Web Collective and ONE/Northwest partnered to build a new website for YES! Magazine, an award-wining publication that supports people's active engagement in building a just and sustainable world. Web Collective spearheaded a five-person design and development team to take the project from concept to launch. Working very closely with YES! we helped clarify both their wants and publishing processes in ways that helped us deliver a website that accomplishes just enough to be successful while remaining within budget. The YES! editorial team is now able to shift from a quarterly web publishing schedule to a daily schedule to a great extent due to the power of Plone.
Climate Action Toolkit
The forward looking cities of Seattle, Minneapolis, Boston and Salt Lake City with the help of ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability came together with the vision to create Climate Action Campaign Toolkit, a social marketing kit for U.S. cities to use to promote action around climate change topics. Web Collective designed and built the supporting website that offers up the kit materials along with help for using it. Being built with Plone means the website can be maintained by a large number of people. We are proud to play a part in developing the social marketing materials needed to raise conscious around climate change at a local level.

They recently had chosen industry leader Salesforce for managing all their member information and wanted to seamlessly integrate that information with their public website. Our work with ONE/Northwest developing Plone/Salesforce connections came in handy and has enabled ICLEI to continue providing its members with high-quality service.

O'Brien had a new set of identity collateral and wanted a new website to match. They also wanted to upgrade to a content management system that allowed them to keep the site current with their latest green building and sustainability education projects.
Our designers came up with an elegant website look and feel that adhered to the new identity and our developers customized Plone to match specific business requirements. The result is a clean and easy to navigate website everyone is proud to show off.
Tigard-Tualatin School District
Client: Tigard-Tualatin School District
Website: http://www.ttsd.k12.or.us/
Web design and Plone development
Tigard-Tualatin School District came to Web Collective looking for help taking their existing Plone site to the next level. The 15 schools in their district each had it's own separate website. Navigating between schools and the district was inconsistent and confusing and maintaining these sites was time consuming. Our major challenge to build a site where distinct looking but navigationally consistent school sub-sites, each with it's own webmaster, coexisted within a single district website. We created a system that gave each school's webmaster control over the look of their school's sub-site, but that adhered to a consistent overall design and navigation scheme. Additionally, we opened up the website so that every teacher in the district became a content contributor with control over their personal classroom section. Now, well over a dozen webmasters maintain the site for thousands of students, parents, teachers and administrators now use it on a daily basis.
