Air Django: A case study of Django development on a large system for Air Charity

A case study of Django development on a large system for Air Charity.

Alex Tokar, Brian Gershon and Kevin Audleman (Web Collective, Inc) have been working on a large 2-year Django project for Air Charity, which is a group of non-profits that connect volunteer pilots with people who need to fly for emergency medical reasons, disasters like Katrina, etc.

The new Django system manages pilots, flights and passengers.

Their presentation discusses best practices in 3 areas:
  • The Agile development process
  • Useful Techniques for Larger Projects with Multiple Developers
  • Powerful Programming Techniques
